COMMUNICATION MINISTER AND STAKEHOLDERS LAUNCH NATIONAL CYBERSECURITY AWARENESS MONTH



The Minister for Communications and Digitalisation, Hon. Ursula Owusu together with the Director-General of the Cyber Security Authority, Dr. Albert Antwi-Boasiako, and other stakeholders have jointly launched the National Cybersecurity Awareness Month. The Cybersecurity Month campaign seeks to educate the public on the importance of digital safety and best practices in the face of growing cyber risks. Hon. Ursula Owusu Ekuful launching the campaign, appealed to all stakeholders to use digital platforms to campaign peacefully and factually rather than to spread fear and heighten tensions unnecessarily. The Minister also encouraged the General Public to verify any suspicious information circulating online by calling the hotline 292. The theme for this year's Cyber Security Month is "Combating Misinformation and Disinformation in a Digitally Resilient Democracy: Our Collective Responsibility".
