AMEWU AND AGBELI-GBORGBORTSI FAMILIES EXPRESS GRATITUDE TO PRESIDENT AKUFO ADDO AND SYMPATHIZERS FOR SUPPORT IN THE FINAL FUNERAL RITES OF THE LATE MRS. GERTRUDE ANANI AMEWU


The Amewu and Agbeli-Gborgbortsi families have expressed their profound gratitude to H.E President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, H.E the Vice President and Presidential Candidate for the New Patriotic Party Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Chief of staff Mrs. Akosua Frema Osei-Opare, Minister of Finance Dr. Mohammed Amin-Adam, Volta Regional Minister Dr. Archibald Letsa, the Paramount Chief, Queen Mother and the people of the Gbi Traditional Area for their unwavering support during the burial and funeral rites the Late Mrs Gertrude Anani Amewu.



The families also acknowledged the presence and support from the Minister of Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs Hon. Stephen Asamoah Boateng, Deputy Railway Minister Kweku Asante-Boateng, Deputy Information Minister Sylvester Tetteh, CEO, Kwabena Agyapong, Dr. Gideon Boako, Chief Director and staff of Railway Ministry and other Ministries, Clergy, Abedi Pele, Npp fraternity and constituents of Hohoe for the love and support shown them during their time of sorrow.





This appreciation was expressed in a Facebook post by the Member of Parliament for Hohoe Constituency and Minister for Railway Development, Hon. John Peter Amewu, son of the late Mrs Gertrude Anani Amewu.


The late Mrs. Gertrude Amewu passed on aged 94 in May and was given a befitting burial by the Children and Family on the 17th and 18th of August 2024 at Hohoe in the Volta Region.
