Customers are dissatisfied since the Births and Deaths Registry is without power for three weeks.

Persons requiring the services of the Births and Deaths Registry have been turned away for weeks.

This is because the facility's Central Registry has been without power for the previous three weeks.

This has had an impact on certificate printing and issuing.

Due to the power outage, some people who came to the office for certificates and other reasons were left disappointed.

The Births and Deaths Registry's administration has therefore promised that it is doing all necessary to restore electricity to its headquarters by the end of the week.

Adam Abdulai, the Registry's Public Relations Officer, stated that work will resume shortly.

"We have a power problem. First, we were taking preventive measures like reducing electricity to avoid anything unexpected from happening. However, it has now withdrawn somewhat. "They're working on it, aiming to get the light fixed within a week," he assured.

He encouraged the public to use their internet portal for any birth and death proceedings.

"This is a terrific chance for people to realize that we have an online platform they can utilize, and you don't need to come to any births and deaths register office to start your procedure. All of our services are available online at www.ghana.gov.gh. "I would want to tell the public that our services are best accessible at the district levels when people are born rather than walking to the head offices," the Public Relations Officer for the Births and Deaths Registry noted.
