The President of Group Nduom and former Presidential Candidate of the Progressive Peoples Party, Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom has expressed his frustration as the Mallam Atta Branch and Non-bank Compound of the Defunct GN Bank have been rented to individuals by some unknown persons.

Dr Nduom expressed his frustration in a Facebook post on his Facebook wall when he visited the Branch as part of his #BringBackGNBank tour.

GN Bank was operating as an Indigenous private Ghanaian-owned Bank with over 260 branch locations across Ghana. It was first incorporated as First National Savings and Loans(FNSL) Company Limited and was licensed as a savings and Loans company on 8th May 2006.

It was subsequently issued with a universal Banking License by the Bank of Ghana on September 4th, 2014, and was renamed GN Bank Limited. Bank Of Ghana revoked the license of the Bank as part of the Government's Banking Sector clean up exercise.

Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom has been going around the country to ascertain the current state of the various Branches of the Bank in his quest to push for the revival of the bank in a nationwide campaign dubbed "#BringBackGNBank tour". Story By: Collins Boateng (Cabman)
