BAWUMIA PLEDGES 50,000 CCTV CAMERAS TO BOOST SECURITY AND CRIME COMBAT

The Vice President and New Patriotic Party's (NPP) flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has promised to install 50,000 CCTV cameras across major towns in Ghana to improve security and combat crime. Dr. Bawumia made this promise on the back of a security agency study indicating that 50,000 CCTV cameras are needed to cover all roads in regional and district capitals. He made the promise while campaigning in the Dome-Kwabenya constituency. He noted that although the government has started installing CCTV cameras, not all streets have been covered. During his campaign tour, Dr. Bawumia met with clergy, imams, and chiefs in the Ashongman Estate area. Story By: Collins Boateng (Cabman)for VOV News
