The hohoe police Divisional Headquarters have picked up 3 Togolise and a Nigerian after a tip off. According to the detective in charge of the pick up, the three togolise internationals;Seidu Ouadragou[22],Combate Kamfitinal
[23] and combate Jandam [21] lodgedin a popular hotel in the hohoe township on friday. upon further interogation, the three revealed that they had been in town for a month and were engage in galamsey activities hitherto thier arrival in hohoe.
Aside Ghana they sited Mali, Cote d'Ivoire and Bokina Faso as other place they had been involved in galamsey.
Relatively, Nigerian Alonge Christian Seun, the other foreign national picted up by the police at the same hotel claims he was on an evangelical mission and had lodged in the hotel for almost a month. He, however stated that he had not commenced his mission due to affliction he suffered. He added that he had arrived in Ghana in 2020to further his education at the zenith university colloge.
THE four have been handed over to the Ghana Immigration Service for further interrogation and processing.
Ghana's Security apparatus has been high alart due to concernsof security threat in its surrounding countries.
