Remanded once more into police custody is Nana Agradaa

Patricia Oduro, also known as Nana Agradaa, a self-described evangelist, has once more been remanded into police prison.

Since her arrest for allegedly doubling the amount of money, the self-described evangelist has been in police custody.

On October 17, she's anticipated to show up once more in court.

Seven counts of defrauding by false pretense and using deceptive advertisements on television and in newspapers to entice victims are brought against Nana Agradaa.

Last Saturday, a video went viral in which disgruntled church members claimed that their leader, a former traditional priestess, had defrauded them.

They said that Nana Agradaa, a.k.a. Mama Pat, had guaranteed to multiply their funds through her unique spiritual purifications.

She has, however, refuted the allegations of fraud levelled against her.

She said in a video that she invited churchgoers to a service last Friday and distributed cash to support their various enterprises.
