THE GOVERNMENT RELEASE ¢50M TO WAEC TO SUPPORT THE CONDUCT OF BECE AND WASSCE

 


The Ministry of Finance through the Ministry of Education on behalf of the Government has released fifty(50) million Ghana cedis to the West African Examination Council to support the conduct of the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and the West African Secondary School Certificate Examination(WASSCE). This amount is part payment of the Ministry's indebtedness to the examination body to support the conduct of the examinations. "This disbursement reaffirms the Government's commitment to fulfilling its financial obligations to WAEC ensuring that the councils' operations continue without interruption" the statement by the Ministry of Education emphasized. The Ministry further assured all stakeholders, especially students, parents, guardians, and the general public of the Ministry's dedication to sustaining an environment that fosters seamless, efficient, and high-quality education for all Ghanaian Students.
