GFA PRESIDENT AND 124 DELEGATES SPEND A NIGHT AT THE REFURBISHED GHANAIAN SOCCER CENTER OF EXCELLENCE FOR THE FIRST TIME



For the first time in the history of Ghana Football Association (GFA) congresses, President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, along with all 124 delegates, spent the night at the Ghanaian Soccer Center of Excellence in Prampram. The Ghanaian Soccer Center of Excellence, which has undergone a massive facelift under the stewardship of President Simeon-Okraku, now offers enhanced amenities, making it a fitting venue for such a significant event. This unprecedented event took place during the 30th Ordinary Congress of the GFA, marking a significant milestone in the association’s history The congress, which for the first time spans two days, began with delegates arriving on Monday and spent the night at the newly refurbished facility. The decision for President Simeon-Okraku to stay at the facility along with the delegates underscores the GFA's commitment to fostering unity and engagement within the football community. The renovation is part of the GFA's broader strategy to improve football infrastructure across the country. The two-day congress will conclude on Tuesday with the main convocation, where crucial discussions and decisions regarding the future of Ghanaian football will take place. The historic overnight stay is seen as a symbol of the GFA's renewed focus on progress and development in the sport as well as a testament to the improved infrastructure at the technical center in Prampram.
