In December, inflation reached 54.1%.




 The Ghana Statistical Service forecasts 54.1 percent inflation in December 2022.

This suggests that the overall price level in December 2022 was 54.1% higher than in the same month in 2021.

Food inflation was the greatest in December 2022, at 59.7%, surpassing the 55.3% recorded in November 2022.


Inflation for domestically manufactured goods was 51.1 percent, while it was 61.9% for imported goods.

At a news briefing on Wednesday, the Government Statistician, Professor Samuel Kobina Annim, also revealed that water increased by more than 94% year on year, while fruit and vegetable juices increased by 84.6%.

The Greater Accra Region had the highest inflation rate of 66.7%, while the Bono Region had the lowest inflation rate of 35.6%.
