During the budget presentation, the finance minister stated: "Limited budgetary allocation for the purchase of automobiles. For the avoidance of dispute, only locally constructed cars may be purchased, and only necessary official travel abroad by all branches of government, including SOEs, must be permitted. Board members must not be permitted to go abroad for official business. Therefore, by the middle of December, all government agencies are required to provide the Chief of Staff with a travel schedule for the year 2023 that includes all anticipated travel.
The gasoline allocations for political appointees and the heads of MDAs, MMDAs, and SOEs must be reduced by 50% by all MDAs, MMDAs, and SOEs, according to this directive.
