Feeding issues at colleges of education are being addressed by the education ministry - PRO

In order to support future teachers, the Ministry of Education says it is striving to rapidly resolve any unpaid financial commitments to colleges of education.

The Ministry's promise follows a letter from the Conference of Principals of Colleges of Education (PRINCOF) asking for permission to allow students to be in charge of their own food starting on November 7.

The Conference of Principals of Colleges of Education said in a letter to the Ministry of Education that the debts owing to food suppliers were the driving force behind the request.

Kwesi Kwarteng, the Education Ministry's public relations officer, responded to the situation by posting on Facebook that talks are ongoing with the Finance Ministry on the transfer of funds to the colleges.
