Six-time Ballon d’Or winner, Cristiano Ronaldo is believed to have informed his current club Manchester Utd of his intentions to leave the club this summer.
Ronaldo re-joined Manchester Utd last summer from Juventus and was the top scorer for Manchester United in the 2021/2022 English Premier League.
Ronaldo’s wages might be the biggest stamping block to him leave as very few clubs if any can offer him his £480k a week wage. However, this amount has plummeted to £360k a week since Manchester United did not qualify for the Uefa Champions League.
Jorge Mendes who is the agent of Cristiano Ronaldo is believed to have offered the player to Bayern Munich who is said to have been rejected and also mentioned him in a meeting with the new co-owner of Chelsea FC Todd Boehly.
Cristiano likes new Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag as a manager but has asked to leave because he wants new signings at the club.
Manchester Utd insists that Ronaldo is not for sale, as they want him to stay: However, Cristiano is believed to have asked them to make him leave when they get the right offer.
Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes keeps pushing Ronaldo to several clubs including Chelsea and PSG. But PSG is not working on the deal.
However, Cristiano Ronaldo will not train with Manchester United on Monday 4th July 2022 after the club authorized him to extend his return because of family reasons sources have said.
United's international contingent is due at Carrington to begin their preseason timetable having been given a week more off by manager Erik ten Hag after being involved in games for their nations in June.
Ronaldo, however, has been allowed a prolonged break. The squad is due to fly out for the beginning of their preseason tour of Thailand and Australia on Friday.
