INFORMATION MINISTER APPEALS TO THE MEDIA TO SUPPORT MOVE TO INTENSIFY INFORMATION DESSEMINATION



The Minister for Information, Hon. Fatimatu Abubakar has appealed to the media to rally support behind the Information Ministry to intensify information dissemination. She acknowledged the crucial role the media plays in democratic governance and admonished them to help shape national discourse. Hon. Abubakar made the call when she engaged some journalists ahead of the regional town hall meeting and exhibition in the Eastern Region. The Minister acknowledged the need to foster a relationship between the government and the media in the region for enhanced collaboration. She encouraged them to apply for the International Fund for Public Interest Media (IFPIM) to ensure growth and media development. The Eastern Regional Minister, Hon. Seth Acheampong also appealed to the media to be circumspect in their reportage, especially during this election period. Later in the day, Hon.
