Go and properly serve Ablakwa, the court tells Rev. Kusi's attorneys.

The High Court in Accra has ordered attorneys representing Kwabena Adu Gyamfi, also known as Rev. Victor Kusi Boateng, Secretary to the National Cathedral's Board of Trustees, to properly serve North Tongu Member of Parliament, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, on the contempt proceedings against the lawmaker.

After being seen on film kicking an interim injunction obtained in connection with a defamation complaint brought against him, lawyers for the plaintiff filed a contempt motion against the MP.

The court, however, observed on Tuesday that the MP had not been properly served with the contempt application as required by law.

As a consequence, it instructed Rev. Kusi's attorneys to file the proper paperwork with the Speaker of Parliament.

One of the attorneys for Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor, indicated that the judge's attitude implies that the contempt application has been dismissed.

Likewise, some party leaders and MPs who followed Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa to court have expressed their solidarity with him.

"This is to show that the NDC as a party is completely behind our colleague. The celebration is not taking its time. The powers have no way of discouraging him. "The cause he is fighting for is one of truth and transparency, and the party totally supports him," NDC General Secretary Fifi Kwetey said.

Mr. Ablakwa has waged a ferocious campaign against Rev. Kusi Boateng, whom he accuses of having two identities.
