If I am elected President, Ghana would feed Africa through agriculture - Kennedy Agyapong

Kennedy Agyapong, flagbearer candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), believes agriculture would play a significant role in his transformative vision for Ghana if elected President.

Kennedy Agyapong envisions the country's northern region serving as Africa's food basket.

"If you vote for me today or elect me as President of Ghana, I would use the five northern regions, Afram and the Accra plains to feed the whole continent," he pledged.

Speaking to media in Accra, the Assin Central MP emphasized that agriculture may help Ghana achieve true socioeconomic progress.

“We have arable lands here, and we are saying we are poor. We are not poor, we need a push and enlightenment. People must have faith, so we take control of our future, and the sky is the limit," the presidential candidate continued.

In 2022, Mr. Agyapong declared his presidential ambitions on the NPP ticket, claiming that he is the greatest option as the party's presidential candidate in the next general elections.

He stated that he will use his philanthropy, honesty, love for people, and, most importantly, his desire to build the country.

Any attempt by the NPP to run Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia or former Trade and Industry Minister Alan Kyerematen, according to Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, will spell disaster for the party.

He contended that the NPP requires someone like him if it is to maintain power and overcome the eight-year electoral cycle curse.

The vociferous legislator is convinced voters are ready to rally behind him given his traits and personal qualities.
