To testify in the Aisha Huang case, the state will call 11 witnesses.

Aisha Huang, Chinese galamsey Queen, is the subject of a criminal investigation, and the State has revealed that it will call 11 witnesses.

On November 9, 2022, the first witness is scheduled to testify before the High Court.

Shortly after the renowned illegal miner was apprehended in Kumasi by National Security and charged in the Accra Circuit Court, the Attorney General filed further charges against her.

The Attorney General's Department charged Aisha Huang with conducting a mining operation without a license, facilitating the participation of individuals engaged in a mining operation, illegally employing foreigners, and reentering Ghana while prohibited from doing so in a virtual arraignment two months ago.

On Wednesday, Yvonne Atakorah Obuobisa, the director of public prosecutions, informed the court that some of the witnesses have audiovisual evidence that will be played during their depositions.

All of the State's supporting documents, according to her, have been properly filed, served, and are now prepared for trial.

The court was informed by Captain (Rtd.) Nkrabeah Effah Dartey, the attorney for Aisha Huang, that the "voluminous encyclopedic materials they [Prosecution] filed" had in fact been received.

The trial will therefore begin on November 9 when the court has been postponed.
