Ketu North youngest Assemblyman picks international award

 


Humanitarian Awards Global (HAG) has awarded Hon. Ernest Kofi Ahiabli, the Assembly member for Penyi-Akpatoeme/Zukpe electoral area in the Ketu North Municipality of the Volta Region for his unique and selfless humanitarian service to the less privileged in his electoral area, constituency, honors and beyond.

Humanitarian Awards Global is an international awards Scheme that recognizes, honors, and awards individuals, groups, and industries that seems to be impacting positively on the lives of people in their respective jurisdictions across the world.

The Award aimed at identifying, honouring and celebrating a cross-section of the nation’s most influential and accomplished businesses doing humanitarian works and leaders from a wide range of industries who are committed to improving lives and preserving the environment through their work and businesses.

The youngest Assembly Member and a philanthropist, Hon. Ernest Kofi Ahiabli, is a holder of diploma in journalism and media studies from the Institute of Commercial Management (ICM), International certificate in Leadership and Management from African Leadership Institute and an international certificate from Volunteers Hub as a certified Volunteer.

He is also Humanist and Fashion Activist with the interests in community development, humanitarian project and human Right Education.

He has been very pivotal in executing project that has brought relief to deprived communities including community water project, free health insurance project, orphans project, educational project, capacity building projects, health care project and circumcision projects in his electoral area.

The Award winner was former 1st deputy speaker for Youth Management Consortium and Youth Model Parliament and a volunteer working with a number of NGO’s serving as the coordinator for both Volta and Oti Region.

Prior to this international recognition, Master Ahiabli has won Ghana Philanthropy Award 2020 and the Humanitarian Award Volta Ghana, 2020 and 2021

Speaking to Inside Ghana News Service (ignewss.com) after the award, Master Ahiabli expressed gratitude to the organisers of the award scheme for such an honour.

“I feel so Happy and fulfilled about this Awards because it help create room for more works and dedication, this Awards inspire me to do more for humanity and I feel great about it.” He said

According to him despite the numerous challenges he faced and continue to face regarding funding, he believed it is a calling that demands sacrifice.

He mentioned and acknowledged the support from friends and love ones and encouraged them not to relent in joining him to support the vulnerable in the coming years.

HAG is believed to be putting the spotlight on humanitarian efforts, by helping build a strong platform to individuals by giving voice and opportunities to the next generation of industry pacesetters while building a positive attitude.

“We have seen outstanding individuals and companies of trailblazers striving hard with dedication and perseverance by overcoming challenges and economic instability to impact lives and sustain the environment. These are the people or business we want to award.” HAG.

The 2022 Humanitarian Awards Global (HAG) was held at Accra Labadi beach Hotel.
