The vulva is the outer part of the female reproductive system. It's what you see when a woman opens her legs wide.
It has the vagina opening and the urethral opening too.
Just below that is the anus where fecal matter is excreted from the body.
These openings are close to each other which means the infection can easily pass from one opening to the other if you don't clean the vagina well.
It is important to clean yourself after using the washroom from front to back. This means you have to clean from the Urethral opening, towards the vagina opening then the rectum.
This will prevent sending infection from the rectum into your vagina and urinary tract.
Always maintain strict personal hygiene and wear clean and comfortable underwear preferably made from cotton and please do not repeat unwashed underwear.
Also, wash and dry your underwear in an open place to allow sunlight to kill bacteria and possibly iron your underwear before wearing it.
It's essential to keep your perineum clean and dry to prevent infection.
Also, avoid inserting things into the vagina it has its natural smell if it smells awful visit your doctor.
